1. Definitions

Kontalab ("the Platform", "the Service", "we") is an AI-powered business intelligence platform for analyzing accounting data from Romanian accounting software. The User ("you") is any natural or legal person who accesses or uses the Platform.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the Platform, you accept these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree with any term, do not use the Service.

3. Service description

Kontalab provides the following services:

  • Connection to accounting software (SAGA, FGO.ro, SmartBill, Oblio, WinMentor, Ciel, Nexus ERP, NextUp ERP)
  • Automatic synchronization of accounting data
  • A financial dashboard with indicators and reports
  • An AI assistant for natural-language questions
  • Automatic alerts and cash-flow forecasts

4. Accounts and security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. You must notify us immediately about any unauthorized access. You may not share your account with others without authorization.

5. Plans and payments

Kontalab offers several plans, from Starter (free) to Enterprise (custom pricing). Current prices are listed on the pricing page. Prices do not include VAT.

  • Billing is monthly, in advance
  • Payment is accepted by bank transfer or card
  • Cancellation is done from your account, with no penalties
  • Unused AI credits do not carry over to the next month

6. Acceptable use

You agree to:

  • Use the Platform only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to access other users' data
  • Not attempt to damage, disable or overload the Service
  • Not redistribute or resell access to the Platform
  • Provide accurate information at registration

7. Intellectual property

The Platform, source code, design, logo and content are the property of Kontalab. Your accounting data remains your property. We do not use it for any purpose other than providing the Service.

8. The Kontalab agent

For local software (SAGA, WinMentor etc.), an agent must be installed on the computer where the accounting software runs. The agent:

  • Has exclusively read-only access to the accounting database
  • Does not modify, delete or add data in the accounting software
  • Transmits data encrypted to Kontalab's servers
  • Can be uninstalled at any time with no consequences

9. Limitation of liability

Kontalab does not guarantee that the Service will be available 100% of the time, error-free or uninterrupted. We are not responsible for business decisions made based on Platform data. Reports and indicators are indicative and do not replace professional financial advice.

10. Service termination

You can close your account at any time from the Platform settings. After closure, your data is kept for 30 days and then permanently deleted. We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes to the terms

We may change these terms at any time. We will notify you by email and within the Platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any dispute will be settled by the competent courts in Romania.
